Kazakhstan proposed to introduce food cards

The national project of Kazakhstan "Affordable and high-quality food for all" proposed to develop the People's Communists faction. This was announced on September 23 by deputy Aikyn Konurov at a meeting of the parliament. According to him, the project should provide assistance to citizens through the issuance of special coupons or payment cards for the purchase of Kazakhstan-made products. Konurov believes that such a decision will improve the quality of nutrition of residents of the republic and support local producers. Funds are planned to be allocated to specific suppliers without the involvement of intermediaries. Recall that in January-August 2020, food products in Kazakhstan rose by 10.4%. The cost of flour increased by 22.9%, cereals by 33%, potatoes by 26.6%.
