59 new cases of coronavirus infection identified in South Korea

In South Korea, 59 cases of infection with a new type of coronavirus were identified over the past day, according to the South Korean Center for Disease Control and Prevention. It is reported that for the first time in six days more than 50 infected were recorded. At the same time, eight cases were imported. It is noted that new centers of infection are associated with religious meetings, sports halls, nursing homes and shops. A total of 12,257 cases of SARS-CoV-2 have been confirmed in the Republic of Korea since the pandemic began. Also on June 17, one person died in South Korea from complications of COVID-19. Thus, 280 people became victims of diseases caused by the new coronavirus in the country.
