Coronavirus brought UN employee to South Sudan


The First Vice President of South Sudan, Riek Machar, reported that the first case of coronavirus infection in the country was identified by a staff member of the United Nations mission, on April 5 reported the Associated Press. The head of the UN mission in South Sudan, David Shearer, has already stated that the mission will do everything possible to identify the contacts of the sick employee. A 29-year-old patient was hospitalized at the United Nations Mission Hospital in Juba on 2 April and is currently being corrected. She arrived in the African country as early as 28 February.
