UEFA cancels traditional handshakes of players before football matches

The traditional handshake before matches held by the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) has been cancelled. This is reported on its website by the press service of the union. UEFA announced that players will not exchange handshakes with their rivals and judges as part of the pre-match protocol until further notice, is contained in the text of the message. It is specified that this measure has been implemented in accordance with the recommendations of the World Health Organization. According to the news agency on February 25, UEFA does not exclude cancellation of matches of the European championship because of coronavirus.

WHO: hand washing is more useful than using rubber gloves
