Garbage on the sidelines: how the EU turns Turkey into a landfill

Turkey is very popular with European garbage exporters, since China, which received most of the waste, previously imposed a ban on the import of certain categories of garbage, which significantly complicated the life of the European Union. Turkey claims that the reception of garbage benefits the country's economy, but in reality, according to a number of sources, Ankara does not cope with such volumes of waste.
