Vucic's party wins three-quarters of the seats in the Serbian parliament


The Serbian Progressive Party, led by Serbian President Alexander Vucic, won about three quarters of the seats in the National Assembly of the country's parliament following the June 21 elections. Such data are cited on June 22 by the Center for Free Elections and Democracy (CeSID) following the processing of 93.4% of ballots. SPP Vucic occupies 189 out of 250 seats in parliament. The Socialist Party of Serbia (SFOR) of Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic 32 seats. Another 12 seats will be taken by representatives of the block of the head of the municipality of Novi Beograd, Alexander Shapich. The remaining parties did not get 3% of the vote, which is necessary for passage to parliament. According to the news agency, 21 blocks claimed seats in the Serbian assembly.
