In Turkmenistan, in line to the state store, buyers fought with the police
The worsening food supply situation in Turkmenistan is increasingly leading to conflicts both among customers lining up for state stores and with the participation of law enforcement forces, Azatlyk reports (foreign media agent). One of these incidents occurred in the city of Bayramali in the Mary region, where a fight occurred between buyers and the police in line for grocery products, trying to prevent crowding of people near the state outlet. According to eyewitnesses, the conflict erupted after the police began to push people standing in line, shout at them and demand that people not stand by the road, but go to a place where they will not be visible. Then there was a verbal transfer between them, which later turned into a fight. As a result, the police decided to detain an elderly man who accused law enforcement officials of piling up queues for state stores through their fault. The security forces put him in the car, but other indignant townspeople tried to rescue the detainee. However, they failed to do this, and as a result, law enforcement officers took the old man to the nearby police station, the newspaper notes.
