In Senegal, curfews extended until 2 June
The Senegalese authorities extended the state of emergency and curfew until 2 June. This is reported on May 3 by Dakar Actu with reference to the statement of the Minister of Internal Affairs of the country Nguya Ndiaya. The state of emergency and curfew have been extended for another 30 days, the newspaper quotes the words of the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. It is noted that the duration of the curfew will remain the same from 20.00 to 6.00. The extension of restrictive measures, according to Ndiaia, is due to the continuing spread of coronavirus infection in Senegal, despite the fact that the epidemiological situation in the country is much better than in other countries. This is primarily due to the effectiveness of the restrictive regime previously imposed by the authorities. Recall, according to the World Health Organization (WHO), as of May 2, there were 1,024 cases of coronavirus infection in Senegal, 91 cases of infection were detected in the previous day. Since the outbreak of the epidemic, nine people have died in the country.
