Coronavirus infection revealed in 284 UN staff worldwide
The number of United Nations (UN) staff with confirmed coronavirus infection has risen to 284 worldwide. On April 24, the official representative of the UN Secretary General Stefan Duzharrick reported on this during the video competition. According to Dujarrick, as of the evening of April 23, there were 284 UN employees in the world with identified SARS- CoV -2 infection. At the same time, Dujarrick clarified that the UN secretariat has 43 staff with coronavirus contamination, including peacekeeping, field and political missions. Earlier, the news agency reported the detection of coronavirus infection in 26 staff members of the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission (MINUSMA) in Mali.
