China's Shenzhen to help brothers in Italy and Korea fight COVID-19

The city of Shenzhen in Guangdong Province in southern China will donate 270,000 face disposable masks to eight foreign sister cities, of which some have already been sent to South Korea, Xinhua news agency reported on March 18. Medical supplies will be provided jointly by the Shenzhen Foundation for International Exchanges and Cooperation, as well as the Shenzhen Federation of Public Organizations. Above all, they are intended for several particularly coronavirus-affected cities like Milan, Turin, Busan and Bern. A second batch of masks have already been handed over to logistics companies and are expected to leave for Italy in a day or two. A host of Shenzhen sister cities have previously assisted during the city's fight against the coronavirus epidemic at home. Now it's time for a response. Public organizations of the city have previously handed over sets for detection of nucleic acids of coronavirus and other materials of Japan and Serbia through Chinese embassies in these countries.
