Sales of South Korea companies may decrease due to coronavirus - mass media

If coronavirus COVID-2019 continues to spread, the volume of sales of large companies in South Korea could decrease by 8%. This is reported by KBS with reference to the research company Mono Research. In a survey conducted from January to February 7 of this year among representatives of 152 non-financial companies, representatives of the company found that if the virus continues to spread around the world for six months or more, the volume of sales of South Korean companies will decrease by 8%, and exports by 9.1%. Experts note that the largest decline in sales volumes will be recorded among automotive companies (13.9%), auto parts companies (12.8%) and enterprises working with oil products (12.4%). However, if the coronavirus epidemic ends in the next six months or earlier, sales of the country's large companies will still fall by 3.3% and exports by 5.1%.
