Parking in China will become free for the duration of the fight against the epidemic

Police departments across China have ordered public parking to not take parking fees in order to ensure unimpeded traffic amid the fight against the new coronavirus, according to Xinhua news agency. The relevant circular was issued by the Ministry of Public Security of the People's Republic of China. It aims to meet the population's need for parking spaces as part of the fight against the epidemic at a time when residents need to stay at home. At the same time, the police on the ground should work with the local authorities to ensure the openness of free parking. Moreover, vehicles carrying essential goods, according to the circular, should not be fined for minor traffic violations. At the same time, 24-hour emergency hotlines have been launched.
